What seems to be the toughest G2 mount I could find to mount a G2 on an offset adapter in front of a vertical grip on my RAS?I'm thinking a scope mount but not sure what size or who makes a strong mount.I'm also open to any light mounts specifically for surefire lights.

Would that fit on something like this?It looks like it would be too long.

I don't really care for the Fobus holders.I had one for my Scorpion but found it a bit too bulky.

I'm using Millet 1" low-mount scope rings ($20 for 2 from Academy) with my G2 - strong enough so far and low profile - takes up less space than a sling mount adapter on the rail.

Too much adjustment really for a flashlight - makes it a pain to reinstall light in line with bore. Only downside I've notice so far is if you like the G2 way in front of the mount, the Millet will tend to angle the light upwards slightly so that at about 7yds the area you are illuminating is actually slightly above where your sights are.

What is that "tab" or "button" in front of the hex head on that FOBUS mount?

So once the unit is mounted, you hit the button and out comes the light or off comes the unit?

Off comes the unit.  If you position the unit right on the flashlight, it will feel (and act) like the G2Z Combat light.  Very nice if you like using the 'Cigar' hold.

The Fubar / First Samco light mount is crap compared to the WFM.  No comparison and they are about the same price.

What kind of mount is that? It would put the flashlight right where I have always wanted it. Who makes that thing and is it ready to sell?

IPSC Guy,

Glad you like the mount.  We make it but it is not a catalog item yet.  We are currently incorporating some user feedback and hope to have a production version in a couple of months.

What kind of rail covers do you have on the DD handguard?  Yet another thing I haven't seen, only heard Wes talk of a "ladder" cover...

Duffy,

Those indeed are ladder panels.  They are among my favorites.  Of course, you will also see KAC panels on my rifle also.
