Are the M6 and M3 considered used for picatinney or weaver type rail systems (to use for mounting).
With help from another fellow lister, I found
a Bushmaster Modular Accessories System Triple Mount on their website (clamps to the barrel of the AR rifle and fits around the front sight0.

Just wanted to be sure it would hold the M6 before I ordered it.  Anyone else have this mount?  Happy with it?

The M3 and M6 I believe both have the same cut and fit the Glock accessory rail. The Glock rail is smaller than a Picatinny.  I've "tried" putting the M3 on a Picatinny rail and it is a super tight fit. Once you get it on, it's an even greater struggle to take off, especially if you get the cross bar into the slot.

Get a GG&G adapter if you decide to go with BM Picantinny rail.
