At the very bottom rear of my dpms butt stock there is a fixed sling mount and for some reason everywhere I look up sling mounts no one is using that sling mount. I'm just wondering why know one uses it, is it because it is fixed or is it because of where it is attached putting undo stress on the stock. It is at the very base of the butt pad.

Standard GI style slings work for it.

Put a sling on there and try it out. The first thing it does is dump the gun upside down. It works ok for over the shoulder muzzle up carry.

Yea, those are the "buy a sling without a mount and put it there" mounts.  I guess I kinda like the single point sling mount right behind the upper better.

they suck thats why lol

I like two point slings but I like the rifle to be carried out in front of me and muzzle down......the GI sling point is more for over the shoulder with muzzle up
