Has anyone had experience with both the Pelican 1720 Long Case and the iM3200 Pelican Storm Long Case?

Looking at the specifications, it appears that the iM300 is slightly larger in all dimensions, 2.1 pounds heavier, and has padded handles.

It looks like they both have 4 hinges and they both have 4 latches on the long side.  The iM3200 has a latch on both ends and the 1720 does not.

The 1720 is available in 3 colors while the iM300 is available in only 2.

Are there any other significant differences?  How about overall strength, durability, and seal quality?

Thanks for your help.

As far as durability and quality - they are both exceptional cases (especially since they are both technically pelican cases)

One thing that i definitely like about the storm cases is the latching system. Much easier to open using the push button (IMO)

I have an m3200, Im pretty sure the only difference is the latches, but it is worth it just for those =p

My Storm case is about 10 years old or so . I got it as soon as they came out . It's been great with NO issues . Even with the baggage handlers at the airport throwing it around . I don't think you can go wrong with either . I do like the latches better on the storm . Good Luck
