Ok Im using a MOE B/s, collapsed full-in.  MOE H/g, MOE VFG.  Using a GGG FSB side swivel.

I have a carbine length nylon GI sling ran short-loop through the FSB and back slot on the MOE by the buttpad.

It feels AWESOME when aiming the rifle, but almost seems "too tight" because I cannot transition shoulders without removing sling from my person.

I shoot like this with the sling under my forearm, strengthening my stance.

I tried a rifle length sling, attached same way, and it affords more room, but offers no support when shooting.

If I intended to use this setup during informal 3 gun, how much of a hinderance would it be?

When I drop the rifle, it hangs perfectly down left, no nut smack, no flopping about.  Just seems like a "too simple" solution when looking at all the other slings on the market.

I wear the sling across my back from top of right shoulder under left arm.

I would suggest a VCAS.  Does what yours is doing without the "tight" feeling you are talking about.
