Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Advice on QD slingmount to MOE buttstock

I have a Stag 8, and am adding the Magpul MOE butt stock.  I have a nice 1.25" nylon sling with Talon Quick-Release Swivels.

I have ordered a MI rail mount sling swivel stud to attach to the Stag pinned gas block, but am wondering how to secure the Talon Quick-Release Swivel to the MOE butt stock.  

[It is apparent I could have chosen a better sling (after reading the many posts here), but I already had this sling, and am retired and on a budget. ]

The best advice I can give you, if you want QD socket functionality on your buttstock, is to buy a CTR instead of the MOE.
