I just got to use my new AR-Rest which I received a few weeks ago for T&E, so I figured that I would post a few pics here so that anyone that is not familiar with it could check it out. It is basically a lightweight shooting rest that breaks down to three pieces that easily fits in your range or gun bag. It is made specifically for the AR-15 because of the long 30 round magazines, but it could be used for any firearm I guess. The company that makes it (www.Montie.com) also makes a shorter one called the X-Rest. It is very lightweight and is much more convenient to take to the range than the more traditional shooting rests that are generally heavier and bulkier. It comes with rubber type padding where the firearm sits to protect it from scratching or marking it. It also comes with rubber feet for the legs for a better grip with smooth surfaces. This is the only part of the product that I was disappointed with, because the rubber feet do not fit very tight and kept coming off or moving. I just stopped using the feet because of this. It did move a little while shooting, but this did not bother me very much. It is very strong and provided a very stable platform for sighting in my Bushmaster with its new Aimpoint CompM4s. Setup and take-down is very fast due to the very limited amount of parts.  Overall, I am very please with it especially because of its ease of portability, simplicity and low price. Yes you are right, it is Markham Park. But I shot the video at a few different positions. Today was up in the 50's.
