I'm new to the AR world (but not to shooting).  I'm in the process of getting my first AR and want a good sling for it.  The sling needs to allow me to carry it in the front and keep the weapon as secure (tight) as possible.  I would prefer one that would allow ease in running and manuvering w/ the weapon but also be able to pull up and shoot quickly also.

Since the sling configerations are vastly different for the AR then any gun I'm accustomed to, I need help finding one that will meet my needs.  Unfortunately I don't have any local gun shops (well that I can get to) that carry this kind of stuff for me to try out before I purchase.  So, I need to rely on peoples' experiences that have and use slings that will work in my application.  TIA.

Contact Jason at Gear Sector for the GS-2P.
Great 2 point, and Jason can answer any of your questions, quickly.  You won't get better customer service.  He can help you with whatever mounting solution you need as well.
Here's a review of the sling.
Works for carbine or rifle.

I second this. My AR and my 1187 both are equiped with Gear Sector slings (the ar has the GS 2p and it will do all you are wanting in a sling) I also have one of their single points too. IMHO Gear Sector and Jason are about as good as it gets for quality products that work and world class customer service.

Hope this helps
