In my experience, it is functional with the stock stub, and its a matter of rotating the stub so it doesn't have the buckle above the chanrging handle.  You can also see that I kept my stub back farther, and not up against the recevier.  I can get away with that now, but if I was short, it probably wouldn't work as well.

I think the A2 single point sling plate is probably the way to go if you plan on doing a lot of training or work with it, but the stock stub will work.


ETA-no_knock556, the new units are dedicated to carbines, and aren't going to help with with the A2 stock.
