This is the first look at the new MI#30.
It features a very simple install. Just pull the plastic portion of your M4 stock assembly off the rear. Slide this sling mount onto the receiver extention (buffer tube) and tighten down.  The sling swivel is a Uncle Mikes QD (Quick Detach), that can be install on either left or right side, depending on the shooters preferrence.   These should be released next week sometime. |

I don't like the way it comes out from the profile of the weapon, but I do like the way they have made it lower at the actual mounting point. I think they may be onto a good idea, and the designer obviously has an artist side as well (Omega).

Interesting!
Now, does the mount rely on the tightness of the buffer nut? or is there a little protrusion on the other side that indexes into the recess on the receiver plate to help lock it into place? |

I like how if I get one I won't run the risk of ripping my index fingernail off when pulling back the charging handle!

I haven't held one yet. But I believe you are correct, it indexes to the receiver end plate. |

I am not 100% on the pricing yet. But I think it retails in the mid $40's. We will offer a discounted price on them. |

They have prototypes of a variety of different types of designs, for a variety of applications, but I am not real sure what will evolve into a production item. |

Got some numbers . . .
Retail is $43 We have them discounted to $37.50 at our website We just got them in, so I can confirm that they do index in part in the receiver end plate adaptor. Stick, I haven't had a chance to mount one up yet. I have been swamped here. I will do it soon. thanks, Paul |

Great, thankyou. I'm interested in seeing if it will cause any prblems when doing malfunction clearance or charging the weapon when done at a full speed. I've got huge hands and long fingers.
One handed operation of the charging handle is another possible concern. |
