Looking for bipod for periodic range use on M4gery - fine-tuning/sighting-in weapon/testing ammo.  Bench rest/sandbags pain to lug around.  Rail-mount unavailable due to grip panel, light mounts, etc.  Blew off permanent or temporary mount sheet-metal/plastic barrel-clamp bipod.  Considering Versa-Pod with bayonet-lug adapter.  Fellow shooter said Versa-Pod wobbly, not very good, doesn't give solid hold.  Looked at Harris bipod but can't find adapter for bayonet lug.  Comments please?

Now thats a good idea I was wondering about a bipod but didnt want to attch anything to my rifle,
