The izzy sucks as far as being a good flash suppressor. Mine will be coming off shortly.
Anyway, here is your answer...

Thanks a bunch jackal, its interesting, i have almost the same setup as you with the bipod and soon the bayonet, how easy is it to remove the izzy and replace it? Thanks again.

Have to take it to a gunsmith to remove the izzy because it is blind pinned in there.
14.5" barrels must have a perminately attached flash suppressor. |

my bayonet came yesterday and it looks good on my gun. jackal does the m9 bayonet blade seem a little dull, or is it meant to be like that?

Although I never tried to cut anything with it, I don't think it is as sharp as a high quality kitchen knife. I guess they are supposed to be like that. |

Don't they have Arkansas stones up north? Just get a good sharpening rig and you can shave with your M9. |

The bayonet is not intended to be a cutting implement as much as a stabbing implement. It easily punctures soft tissue with a little force and a little twisting around in the gut causes fatal wounds. The dull edge is not a problem if using the bayonet as intended.
