This is the result of part of an OPTICS torture test.(the optic survived just fine) images.snapfish.com/345429%3B923232%7Ffp45%3Dot%3E232%3C%3D556%3D397%3DXROQDF%3E2323%3B%3B5%3A3%3B%3A%3A8ot1lsi
I was going prone on a dirt pile one day and as I was going down to the ground my Oly arms vert grip slammed into a big rock that just looked like a clump of dirt. Slammed into it pretty good at that. I'd like to see how some of the grips you have listed hold up to something like that hit.

photoman, you are the man... your tests are the main inspiration for this (although I also want to get a good database of info (like weight and measurements) on them too).
Your situation is exactly the kind of thing I was thinking about. How did the Oly grip fare?

Very well actually it didn't shift at all, didn't losen up on me at all. Thats good considering that I use lightweight YHM railed forends. It shows a little itty bitty spot on it where it made direct contact but nothing bad as I have it wrapped in hockey stick tape.
The one in the above pick is a cheap all composite grip I picked up from Bravo Company USA. It has been holding it's own as well through the optics abuse. That rifle was literaly thrown down range about 10-15 times that day and a couple times it landed on the vert grip and it looks fine, no signs of cracks or anything like that.
I can get measurments and pics and such for the oly grip, for you. It might take a little bit though. Same with the composite one as well though that one don't come off the gun. In order to get it to fit that rail right I had to do some dremel work on it. It's a C-more quad rail and it's not the most "in spec" rail
so it's a bitch to get that thing off and on. If I had found this place before I bought that thing I'd have never gotten it.
