I stopped by on Friday and took advantage of the sale. After a little time with their covert cases, I have to say they are nice, but not perfect. But for the price, they are a damn good deal. I also snagged a few other deals, so the trip was well worth it. TT are good folks with good gear.
Damn good people, and I like that they are working on new projects. I think they are developing some winning ideas right now. |
They aren't moving retail. Logan is moving production to a larger facility, and the retail store is going to take over where the production was prior.
It should be a win-win deal. Larger retail shop, and better production ends up with the opportunity for them to make a greater line of products, and from what I've seen and heard, I'm already interested in some of the upcoming toys... |
I saw something else at TT that caught my eye. Behind the check out counter was a MOLLE/PALS vest in ACU that looked pretty neat. I asked to see it, and it is designed to take the BALCS armor panels and the SAPI plates. It was a really neat setup. It had an internal cumberbund, solid across the front with velcro and buckle closed sides.
I said "Cool, but I don't have BALCS armor." "No problem, bring in what you have, and we can custom make the vest to fit YOUR armor panels." "NO shit? But do I have to mortgage my house?" "Naw, $350 for the setup in ACU." "Multicam?" "Yes, we can do multicam too for the same price." Guess where I'm taking my IIIA panels to in the very near future? |
I have one of their cases and love it, though I think the outer pouch is a little poofy. I ordered one of their 3 day packs in multicam (Why do I need so many packs?) and a couple utility pouches. |
I think I need to do some last minute Christmas shopping....
For Myself!!! 40% off kicks ass |
Where did that come from? The owner served in the Army, got out, and continued developing and making products for the troops. Logan and his team bend over backwards to help any of the military folks who go in there. He also made sure that some of my armor was modified to work much better than its original design. His prices are very fair, and his service is second to none. These are people who do NOT have a large company mindset. They know that their gear goes into harms way, and they respect those that go with it. Your Vietnam comment is nonsense, and while it might have been meant in jest, its how ignorant rumors get started around here. |

It's called a joke and apparently you are the only one who didn't get it |
I thought it was a good one too, as it seems everyone else is moving production to Asia. I would have posted a clarification if the post above mine did not already state what was going on. Even the I-Shot SERT cases are made in Vietnam. Like Kifaru, Eagle, etc. it is nice to support companies that are still sewing in the USA. |
I'm certain he got the idea from what Blackhawk did. The founder of that company is a former SEAL who got out and started making gear, then to save money moved most of his production to Vietnam. |

Cha-Ching! Just made my order! And save alot of $$ thanks for the info on this!
I thought the Viet Nam joke was FUNNY!
Obviously TT is USA made stuff, unlike BlackHawk ind. It's tough having a sense of humor here sometimes. |
If you guys are interested, the Soft Suit Cases are great! I have had a size Large SSC for a couple years now. It's BIG! But we love it. Just ordered a size Small SSC. Great deal on them.
So where are they moving to? Someplace still close I assume (to keep the business from Ft. Lewis as it is a hub now for the Guard and Reserve deploying, plus the division plus that will be stationed there), and hope for my own sake too.
Good stuff, and good customer service from my experience. |
They are only moving their production facility, sales is moving into the main building at their current location.
My problem with TT is that they close too early (6pm) and aren't open on weekends. Makes it kinda hard to get in there. I mean, have you seen lunchtime or after-duty traffic around here?
They are open on saturdays 1000-1600, or hours close to that.
Really? When I last looked into it that wasn't the case ... but I guess things have changed. Very cool.
RETAIL STORE HOURS: Monday - Friday: 10AM - 6PM Saturday: 10:30AM to 2:30PM Sunday: Closed |
Burtons pawn shop and now TT? That neighborhood is gonna go to hell
I might be able to get in there. I need some gloves.... |
yep...a literal "ghetto" check the SWMS "friciton fighters" $84.95 |
They have been at their current location for awhile. |

Received my 3-day pack yesterday along with some other gear. The knife pouch holds a single Glock mag perfectly and is also on sale. The 3-day pack is perfect for my needs and well built, an absolute steal for $67. I think this sale ends at the end of the month, so get on it!
Tomorrow is the last day of the sale. The retail store will be open regular Saturday hours on New Year's Eve. My wife needs a new backpack so we plan to stop by.
I think the retail space is staying where it is, but production and warehousing are moving somewhere else. At least that is what I was lead to believe.... |
Retail is moving into what used to be production. Production is moving a couple miles away into a larger facility.
So who else besides me got some smoking deals? I built two rack systems, a lightweight 1 piece MAV w/ bib and a heavier load 2 piece MAV w/ yoke.
I got my stuff this past Tuesday! Great stuff! The only problem I had was with the shipping Whoever typed in my shipping address at TT put in the wrong house number to UPS so it would have gotten delivered down the street, but I know my UPS guy and got it from him before there was any problems.
BTW I did type in the correct address when I ordered, I double checked when I ordered and when I got my confermetion Email |
The wife got a 3-day pack, a pouch for a G2 and a neck wallet.
Got my Size Small Soft Suit Case, Tan. It is a great bag. The shoulder straps for backpack-style carry are the HEAT!
