Hey,

I finished cutting my 1720 to fit my M4gery and other misc. junk and had a question:

After cutting the middle foam, the rifle sits just about flush with the surface...
I wan't sure if I should take the cut-out portion and "half it" (like a bagel) and reinsert it,
to make the rifle sit up a bit more, making it easier to remove and snug up against
the foam in the upper lid. (it also hides some sloppier cuts...!)

Is there a recommended/prefered depth of items in the case?

I leave mine just like you stated...down deep in the first layer.

Use spray contact cement to glue the bottom and middle layers together, and it won't be so hard to get the rifle out of the case.

Tack
