For you guys that have experience using single point slings. . . I noticed a difference in the angle on the sling loop of Daniel Defense and GG&G plates. Does the angle of the loop really make a difference? I have also seen the ones that have just a small circular loop (for using a hook) but I am interested in the kind used without a hook.

Yes, the angle makes a difference, moreso if you are using some sort of tac latch.

I have used both and prefer the DD because of the placement of the sling.

GG&G plates are sharp, and will cut into your webbing.  DD plates have smoothened edges, looks like higher quality workmanship to me.
