Does anyone know if it will fit on a 16" Oly barrel?  I understand there are some 16" barrels it will fit and some it will not.

No it will not. that is why the Military issue M-4's have a 14.5" barrel.
besides, what do you need a Bayonet on your rifle. your just gonna put somebodies eye out with it

There is a co that makes a bayonet for the 16" barrel it is  $65.00
Go to pre-banarms.com they have  them, but not m9

other that a cool feature to have, why have an attached bayonet????

just shoot it
5.56 will work just as well as a bayo
