In short the MSS requires the use of the MSS single point sling.
This is because the MSS uses a unique mounting system that does away with the conventional castle nut/ plate system. If you did use an aftermarket plate, a hole will have to be drilled in the plate to allow installation of the right hand claw lock. Also the tube when installed, might not be able to hold in the buffer retaining pin. One benifit of using the MSS mount with the M93 stock is the sling can be removed, changed out, or switched sides without even taking the buffer out of the rifle. |
