I've been thinking about getting a Vltor or Crane repro stock to replace my post-ban Colt telestock.

My question is how do you actually replace the plastic buttstock/chreekrest portion of a postban telestock on the buffer tube, as it looks to me that the postban stocks are permanently affixed to the buffer tube?

Do I need a whole new unit w/tube?  If not, how can I swap out the plastic buttstock portion without too much aggravation?

Thanks for the help!

Will

Even though the (fake) carbine stock looks cool, just get a rifle length Vltor stock, It has multiple sling mounts and the ability to be upgradible through modularity. Awesome set-up.
