For mine, I wanted enough paracord so *IF it broke, I had enough to do a field fix. I went 4 loops (OOOO), double knot. The sling hooked onto the loops. I used tape on the upper and lower end to keep the loops together, instead of 4 seperate loops, they are right together, kinda neat and orderly.
I put the front loop on the lower rail of the front sight post base. I have not seen anyone else with one there, and was worried about heat issues, to date I have had none. I was also worried about front sight post stress/pulling on it, but have seen pics of many others with them attached to the rear arm of the front sight. Neither worry has shown me any reason to consdier a change to date.
I put the rear paraloops (same 4 loops, same tape)on the upper rear sling slot on the collapsible stock.
I found that this setup allows my rifle to be in a ready drop position, pistol grip down. When the strap is adjusted, its not far from hand free to ready.
Worked for me, YMMV...
