A few years ago I bougt an SP1 that had round handguards that were smaller in diameter than what the current models come with.  They also seemed to have fewer ridges also.  I currently have a different SP1 clone with the triangular handguards and I saw some of those smaller round ones in a local gun shop.  I thought about getting them to swap with the others occasionally when I get bored.  I would have got them already but the fit at the gap looked really poor.  Does anyone know if these were military issue, made by a reputable company, or just some cheap knock-off to avoid?
