Starlight cases are the best available. I have two of them. One is fitted to hold a custom tactical rifle with an expensive scope mounted on it. This rifle is superbly accurate and to carry it around in the back of my truck in anything other than a good hard case would seem foolhardy to me. Why some guys will risk damage to expensive rifle by putting it in a soft case is beyond me. Plus if you have to ship it via airlines (remember the old commercials showing gorillas jumping on luggage?) Starlight is the only way to go.
My other Starlight case is the "takedown shotgun" size (14x37x6 I think) and it is perfect for my 16" bull barrel flattop scoped AR15. Again a durable weapon with expensive optics mounted, not something I want stepped on unless it is in a good hard case. While these cases can hold two rifles, they also work good for one rifle and some accesories (bi-pod, a couple empty magazines, sling, etc.)
