I've been looking for a good sling. There seems to be a lot of tactical slings, which I guess are good for some instances? Is the Turner sling good? What does the regular army use for a multipurpose sling? Just need some suggestions.

I took a good look at all the options out there and decided that I would make my own.  I ended up spending $12. I used two keepers, a quick release  and some sling material I got at a surplus place and have a pretty nice tac sling now.  People have asked me at shoots where I got it.

There's not much to a sling of any type.  Don't fall for the hype.

Edited to add a Pic:

For those of us not as tallented as Sociopath, we gotta find already built systems.
I've always had bad luck with slings. I get tangled up. The best system I've seen is from CQB Solutions.

I like their SOP sling, they have different options for different mounting needs.

The V-Tac sling is probably the most versatile sling on the market.  You can find them at VikingTactics.com
