Doing a budget build and deciding between the PA 4-6x44 and Vortex Crossfire II 4-12x44. Ive got several Vortex scopes, and have had no problems. Having never handled a PA scope, is there much if any of a difference in the glass quality? I like the extra magnification power with the PA, but dont want to sacrifice glass quality (if any) over the Vortex.

Opinions?

If you're buying cheap, get the cheap with a good warranty.  The PA 4-16 mil dot scope only has a 1 year warranty vs the Vortex lifetime warranty.

FWIW I've got a Crossfire 2-7 on a 10/22 and it has great glass considering I paid something like $70 for it.  It's held zero for several years as well.

You could also look at what Athlon offers in that price range.

Good catch I didnt think of that part. I was focusing (no pun ) on the glass quality and magnification power.
