A friend of mine has a Leopold Vari-X 3-9x 33mm E.F.R (Just a Vari-X, not a II,III etc) scope which is mint, seems to function just fine, he doesn't like it and had mounted it, tried it, then took it off the rifle and put it away. He doesn't have the box or the manual but the scope is a glossy 3-9 compact scope with an Adjustable Objective.

I was wondering what these things go for today?  He offered it to me for $220. I looked on E-bay, though I don't follow the prices, I've seen around $300-370 for not identical Vari-X (....) scopes in the 3-9 magnification.
