I'm going to be getting a basic scope soon for my basic DPMS AR.  The furthest I have to shoot with any regularity is 400 yards at my farm.  I've been reading threads on basic lower cost scopes.  Looking st the different options on the Vortex scopes, does anyone have any preference on the reticle between these two?  The BDC is your standard cross hair which is  definitely suitable.  But I noticed the V-plex is a cross hair with an unobstructed circle in the center of it, based on the pics on cabela's website.  Is that really a void in the center of the cross hair, I assume so it doesn't obstruct your target?

If you're looking at a crossfire or diamondback, save your money and get a better scope.
