Is anybody using Butler Creek Flip Up Scope Caps on a Leupold VX-R Patrol 1.25x4x20mm (30mm)?  If so, what size caps & how do you like them?  Thanks for the help...

I've got Butlers on a 3-9x40 and a 1-4x24.  Like them a lot.  Keeps the glass clean till you need it.  They add virtually no weight so no worries there either.  

Can't comment on the size you need BUT in my experience the best bet is to physically take your optic to a store (they dont' cost that much even in a store) and test fit the caps that way.  

According to this chart  You need a size 14 and 02A for the flip open models.  If you want the see though ones that have a plexiglass type insert you want the Blizzard Covers sizes 5 and 2.

I just bought a set for my mark ar 3-9x40mm  I had to use a micrometer to find the correct size.  But  I do like them now that I have them

I can't tell you what the sizes are in Butler Creek caps but I can tell you that I use Leupold Alumina flip-up caps on all my Leupold and Redfield scopes, including my VX-R Patrol . Exponentially nicer than than the plastic Bulter Creek covers but you definitely pay a premium for quality. Butlers seem really cheap after using Aluminas.
