I have a PST 1-4 and I zero mine at 50.

I'd say 100 yards, I even sight my aimpoints in at 100.

I like a 50/200 meter zero. The 300 yard zero makes sense for infantry bubbas shooting at distance, but for the average suburban american the 50m zero shoots a much flatter trajectory at close to midrange distances where they might use it.
ETA skip to the five minute mark of the video and look at the 200 yard zero. It's nearly identical to the 50 meter zero shown earlier in the video, but he does a better job showing how tight the engagement area is from in close out to 200 meters. |

Another vote for the 50, but remember this: The most important thing for any rifleman, no matter what distance you zero at, is to know and understand your trajectory, it's the key to making good hits at any reasonable distances.

Exactly. That's why I zero everything at 50, whether its a 1-4 or an Aimpoint/Eotech. The trajectory never changes. |

I zero different weapons for different purposes, based on capabilities, optic and anticipated use.
Aimpoints and iron sights are zeroed at 50 yards, confirmed at 200. Magnified optics (Leupold VX-R 1-4 and 3-9) are zeroed at 100. I practice hold overs and dialing the turrets out to 400 yards, soon put to 600 yards. |

I zero at 25 yards using an offset target to get a 50 yard zero...and then I confirm it at 50. In fact, I just did this again yesterday for my new T2.
I prefer a 50 yard zero for a non magnified optic since I don't expect to engage targets beyond 250 yards...and the 50 yard zero ensures that you are never more than 2" high or low from close in out to to 250 yards. That's good enough for me. 
For a 1-4x, some people prefer the 100 yard (or meter, whatever) zero since you are only dealing with holdover. Depends on your reticle, how much time you have to spend estimating range (assuming you don't know it in advance), how precise you are trying to be, and the expected max distance to your target. |
