vortex have some of the best features, and reticules under 500

I have a Nikon M223 1-4x. It's got great glass (I believe the same as their Monarch series), and the dot in the center really helps to draw your eye to it. It also is calibrated so that with the turn of a dial, you go from zeroed at 100 to 200 with a 55 gr. bullet. Overall a nice scope that can be had around $250 or maybe a little more or less depending on how much homework you do.
Then again, I'm about to sell mine because I want a little more magnification.

I will second the vortex viper PST for 500 dollars it is going to be hard to beat. I love mine

Burris Mtac owner here, love it. Haven't used any other 1-4's so I can't speak for them.

Another +1 for the Vortex. I just got the PST. Clear as can be and a great reticle.
