whats the battery life on the vortex strikefire red dot? does it use aa batterys? do you own one? does it work well for you?looked for other posts  no anserws there.

Look in the manual.

With the green LED, it's something like 400 hours on max and many thousand on minimum (more on night vision mode). The red LED gets less on high, but more on low IIRC.

It uses CR2 batteries, and will accept the rechargeable kind too.

Yes, I own one. It works great for me. Might be the best in the price range.


In the ~$150 range, two of the most popular options are Vortex and Primary Arms.
