Here's the setup: Millett DMS-1 in a LaRue SPR-E (Lt-139) and a 1st gen rear mbus, on a AR flat top.

The problem: the rear lens cover contacts the mbus enough to push it completely flat against the upper when I lock the levers.  I can wiggle the cover off while locked down, but it takes some work.  You cant get it back on.

The question:  Will the mbus cause enough upward pressure on the eyepiece to cause ill effects like accuracy issues or bending the eyepiece tube over time? Or am I just obsessing over a non issue

Thanks,

Why do you need the lens cover?

Well, I dont really.  I suppose I'd like to have it on there for extra protection while walking the farm and woods, but that's one more thing to deal with if I see a coyote.  My rifle has a nice soft case so I'll just leave it off.
