I am looking at the 4x32  and a 3x24.........I like that the 3x24 is very compact looking.....bu still cant decide

what are your guys opinions......and would love to see some pics of 4x32 and 3x24 mounted on flat top 16in carbines....thanks!

EDIT:  My rifles are set up as lightweight rigs.......intended use is range plinking, hunting(some day)  and general SHTF purposes

I have a 3X24. I like it alot. The fact that it is compact is important to me. I'll get a shot for you tomorrow.

I'd go with the 3x30.  It is a very nice scope and VERY light.  I'd say almost the same as an aimpoint.  The 4x32 is also very nice, but heavier.  If it is a light weight build, I'd go with the 3x30.  It also has much better eye relief

Try to look at them both in person.  I actually like the 4x TA31 series a lot more than the 3x compact ACOG's.  The FOV seems much larger on the TA31 and the eye relief wasn't an issue for me.  The TA31 is still pretty light, but I'd imagine it is heavier than the 3x compact versions.

This. But if you want more compact than the TA31 I'm sure you won't like the TA11.

I have a TA31RCOA4 and a TA31ECOS. I love them both. Some do not like the eye relief but it does not bother me, I shoot ntch.

I like my TA01ECOS-DOC.  I use the red dot for stuff closer than 100 yards, then switch to the 4x for anything beyond.  I don't have any experience with the 3x.

so is the eye relief better with the 3x24 or 4x32?   also my rifles all sport standard front sight bases..........is there an issue with the FSB in sight picture?

You aren't looking in the right places, I just  got a brand new TA31RCO-M4CP from a dealer for under $1000 delivered.

Keep in mind some of our fine sponsors here like SWFA and Primary Arms will price match or beat any price you can find.

EDIT: Forgot you also asked for pics...not a 16, but a 14.5, hope it helps.

Not sure about the 3x24, but I much prefer the 3x30 TA33 to the 4x32 TA31.  Eye relief and target acquisition is much better for my eyes. I have the ta31 and ta33h-g for side by side comparison.  Really depends on the individual as to what works best (and practice, practice)...  FSB is a non-issue for either, at worst its a slght shadow at the bottom and unless your looking for it, you wont see it.

had my ta 31f  mounted on a 16 inch carbine with a fsb , there were no issues. I would suggest you try to look through both then decide . to me acogs are like women . I love them all .

I now have my ta31f mounted on my colt 6940 .

if your in no rush you can get beat up TA31s (maybe military property at one point? I wouldnt ask) on the EE or ebay on the cheap.

I liked my TA31F alot more than the TA01.
