I recently purchased a used Burris Tac30 here on the EE and was wondering how far off the BDC would be if I mounted it on a .308. Any ideas? anyone done this? Thanks

Handloading will really help tune the load for the reticle, which will be 150gr soft point (primarily for pigs) @ 2900 FPS.

I read somewhere the recital  is set for 62 gr .223 and was pretty close to the 308 ballistics as well, Anybody know about this? If it helps it would be on a pof 16.5" gun shooting 168 gr ammo

The subtension of the reticle lead me to believe the BDC is for a 62 gr FMJ bullet traveling @ 3100 fps.  You may be a little hard pressed to find a BDC correlation with a 168 gr HPBT @ 2550 fps (from a 16" barrel).
