Give me your opinions and thoughts, here is a list of the criteria I have:

1. Will be mounted on a LMT Guardian 10.5" Full Auto
2. Used for clearing houses on narcotics related search warrants
3. Don't need NV compatability
4. Uses CR123 batts. (I can get these free)

Also, where is the cheapest place online to purchase these?

Pick whatever model you like that meets your requirements.  I would also suggest that you get one that has the controls on the side rather than the back so you can add a magnifier later with any concerns for blocking the controls.

the basic 512 would fit all of your criteria except for the batteries.  But even then, double AA lithium will last over 600 hours so cost should not be that much of an issue.

Go with the model chosen by SOCOM, the 553. The 516 looks nice also.

Check out Primaryarms.com, they have a page on here with nothing but great views. They carry all the XPS series that run off only one 123 battery at good prices, if the battery issue isn't too important they have a great price for the AA 512 series also.

EOTech is running a $50 mail in rebate as well.

Really?  Do you have any information?

And is this only valid when you purchase from them directly, or from any place that sells EOTech?

Honestly, for the gun and use you describe, I'd get one of the newer XPS models. They're smaller, a tad lighter, and use a single CR123 battery.

EXPS2

I have one and love it.  I prefer the lower 1/3 co-witness it offers.

I'm assuming any dealer, since Marsh was the one who I heard it from. But I've been know to be wrong alot so YMMV.

It is any dealer.  The rebate is done by the end user.

I recommend getting the XPS 2.0 from LaRue Tactical complete with their mount.  The rebate is actually $80.

I'd never mount an optic on a fighting carbine without a LaRue mount.  You might just need to tear that thing off one day in a hurry.

Where did you find the $80.00 rebate?

I think eotech has a thing you can go through and pick what features you want and it will display the optics that meet your criterea. Its on their website...

The rebate is $50. You can get up to $80 if you buy 2 Eotechs. I also recommend the EXPS2. I just got one and love it.

the 553 is under a .mil contract?

Are the controls on the side or back?

The rebate is NOT from any dealer.  It is only available if purchased through an EOTech APPROVED dealer.  A list of approved dealers is available on EOTechs website.  I think most of the popular dealers are on the list.  Also the EXPS2 model is only available from opticsplanet.com for now.  It can be had for $420 after rebate with 5% discount code bx5sm9g

To the O.P.:
You have got some good replys and sources for discounts.  I just want to add that you should really get a model with side buttons.  The main benefit being that you won't have to worry about a BUIS being in the way.  Plus, you will be already good to go if you ever get a magnifier.

Hmm, I don't know if I like Larue's mount. Since the rebate ($50) is good until December, I guess I'll try Larue's out at the Range Day next month.

I wonder what the EXPS is like with the integrated quick lever mount.
