Hi all, I have been using an Aimpoint Red Dot Scope on my Colt 6940, and I am ready to move "up" to a Trijicon ACOG.

I am comparing the TA31H, TA11H, and TA33RH and I have a Stupid question.

The pictures for the Reticles on the TA11H and TA33RH show the Horseshoe/Red Dot/ Range Compensation AND THEY ALSO SHOW THE SILHOUETTE OF A MAN. Is the silhouette actually a part of the Reticle?

If so, this would seem confusing when taking a Head shot. Do you line up the dot on the targets head and ignore the silhouette in the reticle?

Thanks for your help, sorry for such a "dumb" question.

No, there's no silhouette in the reticle.

No silhouette in the reticule.
It is just super imposed as a reference so you know how it will look.

It would be kind of cool, in a creepy sort of way, if there was.

Thanks!

What confused me was that Trijicon puts the silhouette on SOME of the pictures of the reticles, but NOT ALL.
