I knew it would happen eventually, and it did today - a strap broke. So, just buy a replacement (from Aimpoint, I guess)? Is there an alternative besides the GG&G mount? Or just run naked, trusting the T-1's inherent toughness?

I like the bikini on mine.  I just flip the rear one out of the way, and leave the front one on if it is close range, or If I may be firing from dark to well lit areas.  I know it looks funny to some people to be shooting with the front cover still on my optic, but it works for me.
