AR15 Zeroing 25 or 50 Yards?

Guys,
So, this dude emailed me instructions for zeroing in my AR based on barrel length, front & rear sight etc.
Seemed pretty easy. later , I read somewhere that it is much preferable to zero @ 50 yards.

What is preferable esp to a range between 100-200 yards?
Is there a detailed info about zeroing @ 50 based on the setup?

My set up is :
16" barrel 1:7 twist/chrome
F marked front sight
rear sight is A3 6/3

From what I've learned, it's best to zero at 25 yards.

0 @ 25 will be on at 200 high at 100, 0 at 50 will be on at 100 , low at 200.

This is right. At 50 yds the second crossover is around 200-225 yds. From the muzzle to the second crossover the POA/ POI doesn't vary more than 4 inches.

25 meters for a 300 meter zero
50 yards for a 200 meter zero

yards and meters are in their appropriate places above.

Google "Improved BAttlesight Zero." This has you readjusting your rear sight and setting your zero at 50 yards. This is because most public ranges go to 300 yards or so.

I zero at 50 for a flatter trajectory at the distances at which I shoot.

GOOD THREAD! I KNOW MUCH HAS BEEN WRITTEN BOUT THIS B-4 IF YOU WAS TO DO A SEARCH.....BUT THE SEARCH FUNCTION AINT WORTH A CRAP IN MOST INSTANCES FOR ME.THANKS FOR THE COMMENTS GUYS.

Molon................. Thanks for the chart.
This is what i make out from it:
if you have Zeroed at 50, @ 200 y you will be almost zeroed as well.
For ranges between over 50 but under 200, the level of adjustments
that can be made to hit targets between those 2 ranges would be
much easier ? ( like aiming hi or low?)

Is there as way where one can adjust the rear sight only by certain #
of clicks to make adjustments for those ranges & then return back to
50 yards zero. Mine is a 6/3 rear sight aperture.
