Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Help a noob

Ok guys, i just got my first ar saturday, i got a dpms ap4. My dad gave me his old tasco propoint and i wanted to put it on but im not sure what mounts i need to have enough clearance for the front sight. I have found a few mounts that might work but im not sure. I cant find anything about a tasco on here so please help. Thanks

is this the aimpoint look-alike is it one of the older models with funky tube sizes?

if if looks like an aimpoint, any aimpoint style mount will work.

if it is an older one, you will probably need a riser of some kind to be able to mount it high enough
