i got it on sale since it was the first one they made over 10 yrs ago

it has a rough texture on it...and the manual rubbed on it in the case during shipping so it got some paper particals on it...like sandpaper would look if you rubbed it on paper, i didnt even brush it off i was to excited to get pics and them mount it...also the lighting in my basment sucks ass so i had to crank up the brightness level on the pic before i uploaded it :)

That's pretty cool.

BTW, I thought there was supposed to be a rubber piece that goes between the 557 and the magnifier to give a nice sealed interface.

In fact I think it shows it on the picture on the front of the case.

Is it something you chose not to install or did it not come with your kit?

iu believe its only for the fixed units as it creates a seal between the eotech and the mag...

also i read if you install it then pull it off it damages the springs in it, so its a one time install...i have the flip to side so its not needed

$1,099

Looks nice, but for $1,099 I'd rather have another 6920, personally. **shrug**

LaRue poboy and 312 would do it for me.  That price is outrageous for a magnifier.

2 questions...

1) what is that on the side of your 557 around the sight adjustments?  mine does not have that, is that a sticker you added or something?

2) i noticed you guys have your eotechs mounted as close as you can get them to the magnfier...I started like that but moved it one bar away so i could have room to put scopecoat covers on them and also because it would leave me enough room to mount my NV and not have to move the eotech and resight it in...anyway, do you guys think it will affect function not having it as close as posible to the magnification?  when i look through it i still get a clear picture and no distortion from the edge of the eotech or anything...
