I have an extra scope just laying here and i was thinking about throwing it on my M4 and using it for a fairly close range coyote gun.  What do you think? The gun is an A3 receiver with a 16 inch step cut M4 style barrel and M4 handguards, 2 stage trigger, etc. The scope is a Burris Fullfield II 3x9x40 fixed objective. I was thinking about using Warne High Quick Detach rings and not even bothering with the mini-risers.  That way i can take it off in a snap and put my carry handle back on. Any suggestions?

I had a cheap 3x9 on mine for a couple months before I overhalled it and put an EOtech on, not too bad of a shooter, never shot any further than 200 yards with it

took 2 coyotes in 1 night back in May at no more that 150 yards

Its a middy but it has a 16" barrel like the M4.  I use it to shoot at 300yds and beyond as the scope is a 3x12x44mm AO mini.

Nope.
Nobody has ever scoped an M4.
You are the first person to ever think of it.

IBTCSHP (In Before The Chinese Scope Haters Post)

It worked pretty well for a cheap NCStar scope, but they took my M4 away from me and stuck me with a SAW (driver took my M4), but I can assure you that the scope worked flawlessly; plus it was cheap, so if it got banged up, I'm short out of $30, no big deal.

Nah, only Airsofter's, CounterStrike Fags and wannabe Special Ops use them these days.

threw a NcStar 3x9x42 on my carbine back when I had a fixed carry handle, just for the hell of it. Could shot a flys ass at 50 yards, never got to try it past that, I went flattop quickly. When I build my A3 I'll throw the scope back on just to see what I can do.

For working up reloads. I put my SS10x in a larue spr mount on my M4. Mostly I run a a aimpoint or eoteck type sight.

I run a Simmons 1.5 - 5X shotgun scope on mine. It's about perfect. I can use the 1.5 with both eyes open for close/quick shots and then zoom in for a bit more accuracy with the 5X. I wish it had 1/4 adjustments. It has 1/2" adjustments. It does have a pretty good FOV.

I bought it from CDNN when they had them for $50. I should have bought four of the darn things. I'd love to have one on my 10/22.

I put a Leupold MR/T 1.5-5 on my RRA carbine.  I love it.
