i just got a red dot rd30 i put it on my m4 a3 is the front sight going to mess with the scope?? it seems that when i aim. the dot and the front sight line up. like the red dot was the rear sight is this right? thanks for the help

That's the way I like it.

I zero the sights for dead center with the dot and a six o'clock hold with the irons to hit the X-ring on a bullseye at 50 yards.
