Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Simmons 3X9 non-illum?? Any good?

Just want something for varmints.  Not expensive, but decent enough to get the job done.  Looking at two Simmons:  3X9 50 bell.  Or  3X9 40 bell "8-Point"   Wally world.  I think around $50-$70 or something like that.  Are they any good?  Will they hold zero on a .223 and/or .308?  Or are they crap?!  Already learned the hard lesson on Bushnell "Sportview" crap!!
