I'm having some trouble picturing how the Larue mount works in front. I'm guessing that the only real attachment point is in the rear and the front is only for indexing. Is that anywhere near correct? Anyway, the only pics of this that I've ever seen are from the side or top. Does anybody have a picture of this mount from the bottom?

How far can you put the EOTech forward on the mount?

   Do you have to have a railed forend to accomplish moving it that far forward?

   In other words, can I do that with a regular forend?
