I'm getting ready to buy an Eotech for my LMT M4 and was wondering the options for mounting.  Is a riser or base required?  Anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks,
Mark

You can mount it straight on, or with a riser. I prefer the riser, some don't like it. The BIGGEST advantage to the riser is that you can pull it off quickly if you have to (LaRue, at least) and take it on and off without losing zero.

I like mine mounted straight on the flat top ...

I have tried both, I prefer my YHM 1/4 inch riser, it seems to work better for me.

I put mine on a LaRue mount. I love it, always back to ZERO!!!!!
