Has anyone tried the 3X magnifier with the larger 4moa dot on the M2's?

Any comments would be appreciated, before I fork over $650 for a 3X & Samsom flip mouny!

I had the Aimpoint M3 4MOA and the Aimpoint Magnifier and I did not like it.  The dot was too big when magnified.  JMHO.  I since have gone in the direction of a variable 1X4 scope.
