Just wondering if the Nightforce NXS 2.5-10x24 is comparable to the ACOG TA11 when it comes to durability and ruggedness...I don't plan to drop either of them on to concrete but was just curious as to what those in the know thought.

Thanks

Because the ACOG has fewer parts I would guess it would be more likely to survive a nasty fall to the concrete.

depends which one you are going to take the louisville slugger to.

quoted from our own Wes Grant:

ATTACHED BELOW IS A PIC OF A NIGHTFORCE 3.5-15X50 NXS SCOPE HOME ON CONVALESCENT LEAVE.

YES, IT TOOK A HIT. NO DOUBT THE IMPACT PROBABLY DID NOTHING GOOD FOR THE ORIGINAL ZERO. THE INTERESTING FACT IS THE WINDAGE AND ELEVATION, PLUS ALL THE GLASS, STILL WORK AS THEY DID WHEN THE SCOPE LEFT THE FACTORY.

THE NITROGEN ALL GOT AWAY, THOUGH.

+1 for the acog having less stuff to be broken or external.

I've seen ACOGs with shifting zero issues.

I've not seen an NXS with similiar issues.

Both are extremely rugged, but I'm going with NXS.

The difference?

Tha ACOG is better as a brick, the Nightforce as a club!
