Which illuminated target dot reticle are you guys using?  Price?

I am having a lot of trouble losing the black reticle on black targets at distance.  I am hoping that a new scope will help cure the problem.

There are SOOO many options, a better way to go about this is to tell us what type of shooting you'll be doing (including usual distances), and price range you're talking about.  We also need to know preferences (BDC, ranging, etc.)

You are correct that an illuminated reticle will spoil you on black targets and you'll never want to use anything else.

I've had several with illuminated reticles.  My personal favorite was the Trijicon TR21 because it didn't need batteries, and the reticle, while VERY bright, didn't bloom like the battery powered ones can sometimes.

But since there's no BDC on the Trijicon, I think I'm going to try an IOR next time.
