How will I know if it's a airsoft knock off or not, or factory fresh? Never held one or operated one, any help is appreciated, and I'm sure it's been talked about alot, but no  search

Good questions I often wonder also. Some very detailed pictures of a real 300m and 600m sights would help.

Here are a few pics of the KAC 300M I just picked up off the EE. There are a few pics of several other BUIS's HERE if you are interested in a few comparasins.

I'd like to fo find a few airsoft knockoff KACs and compare them so he knows what to look out for.

The knockoffs usually have different radiuses and chamfers on the edges of the parts and mounting clamps as well as different mounting bolts, screws, etc.

check the number of windage marks too.

To my knowledge, the BUISs don't have any KAC names or logos on them...

getting closer:

There is even a replica of a CUT CARRY HANDLE!!!  They have an LMT copy, but they also have this copy, obviously meant to copy the CCH sights:

Here we are:

-It's got knurling on the mounting screw.
-All of the angles are wrong.
-The flip up arm is chamfered all around the base
-The pivot screw is different
-The fake has a notch in the top of the ring
