Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - What is difference between EOTECH and Bushnell HOLOsight?

Just got my first AR-15 - A Bushmster Carbon-15 w/ flat top. After 3 days (and 300 rounds) of bliss, I am now searching for the essentials. A sight is project #1. EO-Tech seems to have what I need.
When I went to the eo-tech website, http://www.eotech-inc.com/index2.php, I saw they also make the bushnell sight. They look similar.
Since the Bushnell is about $100 cheaper, what is the differanceWhat should I buy? any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

The EOTech has a big metal shroud around it to keep it from being damaged.  The EOTech is also waterproof to something like 30 feet.  The EOTech is more expensive (duh).  The EOTech probably has a better warranty.
