[ARCHIVED THREAD] - what is the best scope to mount on a ar15??

i am purchasing a les baer varmit ar from a fellow list memeber. i need to buy a scope, in the past i have always had leupold 4.5-14tactical on several guns and 3-9 vari flex on others. i would like a mil dot scope with illuminated retical. my price range (used prefered is) about 600. thanks for your help.

in that price range, super sniper 10x42m with larue tactical spr mount

Burris fullfield 3-9 or 2-7 LRS with ballistic plex is as close as you are going to get to your requirements.

Burris also has a XTR tactical scope that is 1.5-6x and has an illuminated ballistic reticle for right around $600 new.

+1 for the burris xtr line, get with mike@csgunworks for the best price. he is a site supporting dealer and if he doesnt have a better price im sure he will match it, he also carries mounts and rings
